Pusa 1509 Basmati Rice

1509 Basmati Rice is the latest entrant in the long-grain basmati rice family. It is an extra-long grain rice variety grown in the Haryana, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh regions of India. It is a thin rice grain with an average grain length of 8.2 mm–8.4 mm, and the elongation ratio of the grain is 3 times if cooked well. It is available in Steam, Sella/Parboiled, and Golden Sella rice forms. 1509 basmati rice is the substitute for 1121 basmati rice but lack of aroma.
